2012 Zipp 404 Firecrest Tubular Wheelset

The 404 Firecrest Tubular is the ultimate aerodynamic race wheel.  The wheel can do double-duty as a time-trial or road race wheel, and even shines in criteriums, where stiffness and superior handling are critical attributes.  The weight, at 1282 grams, is light enough to be used in a hill climb or for a mountainous road race, and the depth, while providing superior aerodynamics, does not make the 404 a chore to handle in windy conditions.  In reality, the 404 is the gold-standard against which the rest of the industry measures themselves.  For 2012 the 404 Firecrest is using the brand new 88/188 hubset.
